The City of Rio Grande City is calling on local businesses and community members to support its first-ever Pony League at Basilio Villarreal Park through sponsorship opportunities.
The Rio Grande City Parks and Recreation Department announced the initiative as part of its mission to provide fun, safe, and affordable recreational opportunities for local youth. Sponsorships will go toward maintaining the park’s facilities and promoting healthy lifestyles among the city’s children.
“Sponsoring a banner helps keep our kids active and teaches them the importance of teamwork,” said Rio Grande City Parks & Recreation director Marco Trevino.
The sponsorship opportunity is priced at $500 per field banner, allowing supporters to display their logo while contributing to the growth of youth sports programs. Benefits of sponsorship include fostering team spirit, cheering on local players, and strengthening community involvement in youth athletics.
