Rio Grande City to Showcase Tourism Attractions at Winter Texan Expo


The Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is excited to announce that Rio Grande City will be proudly represented at the upcoming Winter Texan Expo, an annual event celebrating tourism and regional attractions for visitors from across North America. This year’s expo will take place on January 21st and 22nd at the McAllen Convention Center (700 Convention Center Blvd) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.


The Winter Texan Expo provides an exceptional platform to highlight South Texas’ unique culture, history, and attractions to thousands of seasonal visitors, fondly referred to as "Winter Texans." As part of the event, Rio Grande City’s booth will showcase the city’s vibrant heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and diverse offerings for visitors seeking a unique and memorable experience in the region.


“We are thrilled to participate in the Winter Texan Expo and share what makes Rio Grande City such a special destination,” said Valeria De Anda, Public Relations Director for Rio Grande City. “This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with visitors, invite them to explore our historic sites, and experience the rich culture and warm hospitality that our city is known for.”


Attendees of the Winter Texan Expo will be encouraged to visit the Rio Grande City booth to learn more about local attractions, including the scenic downtown district, historic landmarks, and exciting upcoming events. Visitors will also have the chance to meet with representatives from the Rio Grande City Main Street Program and learn about the unique opportunities awaiting them in this charming South Texas community.
