Rio Grande City's official Pumpkin Patch is now open to the public, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a festive fall atmosphere. The seasonal attraction, located next to the Fire Department on 910 E Main St, aims to boost tourism while providing a scenic backdrop for family photos.
Mayor Gilberto Falcon expressed his gratitude to the Rio Grande City Main Street Program for spearheading the project, as well as to the city departments and volunteers who contributed to its success.
“This year’s Pumpkin Patch is a true community effort,” Mayor Falcon said. “I want to thank our Rio Grande City Main Street Program for taking the lead on this project, and I extend my appreciation to all the city departments and volunteers who put in the hard work to make this a reality.”
The patch is more than just a seasonal attraction; it's designed to draw visitors to the city, encouraging them to explore local shops and restaurants. Additionally, local photographers are welcome to set up at the patch, offering family portrait sessions to capture the fall spirit.
By providing a fun and picturesque destination, the Pumpkin Patch hopes to become a key attraction that showcases the community’s charm and supports small businesses during the fall season. The patch will remain open for most of the fall season.
