A mural featuring the Rio Grande City Rattler mascot is now on display on the city’s iconic Water Tank, concluding restoration efforts by the RGC Public Utilities Dept.
“We are excited to announce the completion of the Rio Grande City Rattler mural on the Water Tank at the Old Water Plant,” declared RGC Public Utilities Director Eric Flores. “We would like to thank the City Commission for initiating this design upgrade and keeping our Rattler Pride alive.”
Municipal water tanks serve various important purposes within a community's water supply and distribution system. These tanks act as reservoirs, ensuring a consistent and reliable water supply for the community.
Water tanks facilitate the efficient distribution of water throughout the community. The stored water can be released as needed to meet the demands of residents, businesses, and industries.
