Rio Grande City EDC Launches Small Business Boost Grant

The Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has announced the launch of the Small Business Boost Grant, offering a one-time grant of $2,500 to eligible small businesses within Rio Grande City. The grant aims to assist local entrepreneurs in covering essential expenses, enabling them to thrive and contribute to the community's economic growth.

The grant is available to small businesses with annual revenues under $100,000 and can be used for various purposes, including equipment purchases, marketing initiatives, and business expansion.

"Supporting our local businesses is a top priority for the Rio Grande City EDC," said Sara Hernandez, Interim Executive Director of the Rio Grande City EDC. "The Small Business Boost Grant is designed to provide much-needed financial assistance to our small business community, helping them to overcome challenges and seize new opportunities."

Rio Grande City Mayor Gilberto Falcon emphasized the importance of the initiative. "Our small businesses are the backbone of our local economy," Mayor Falcon said. "This grant program reflects our commitment to fostering a vibrant and resilient economy in Rio Grande City."
