City of Rio Grande City Announces 2024 Miss RGC Freedom Fest Royal Court



The City of Rio Grande City recently held its 2024 Miss RGC Freedom Fest Pageant which concluded with the crowning of a new official Royal Court.


The 2024 Royal Court comprises four remarkable young ladies who have been selected to represent our community during the upcoming Freedom Fest celebration, as well as multiple community events throughout the year. Each has demonstrated outstanding poise, talent, and commitment throughout the competition.


  • Tiny Miss RGC Freedom Fest: Katalina Bazan

  • Little Miss RGC Freedom Fest: Mackenzie Rose Lopez

  • Junior Miss RGC Freedom Fest: Sarah Lee Barrera

  • Miss RGC Freedom Fest: Michelle Aurora Meraz


The pageant celebrates the spirit of Rio Grande City and provides a platform for young women to showcase their abilities and dedication to community service. This year’s contestants have set a high standard, making the selection process particularly challenging.


"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the contestants and express our gratitude for their enthusiastic participation in this year’s pageant." declared event organizer Cathy Rubio. “Each participant in the Miss RGC Freedom Fest pageant has shown incredible talent and grace. We are proud of all the young women who took part and look forward to seeing our Royal Court represent our city with pride and distinction.”


The City of Rio Grande City invites all residents to join in celebrating the accomplishments of these young women during Freedom Fest, to be held at the Basilio Villarreal Park on June 29.
