The City of Rio Grande City recently announced the popular Tejano music group, La Mafia, has officially been added to 2019 Freedom Fest concert lineup.
"Once again, this year's Freedom Fest will be presented by Grammy Award winning Grupo Solido," said RGC Tourism director Sara Hernandez. "This year we're excited to announce La Mafia will also be performing at our event as part of their Love Tour 2019. Also joining us will be Grupo Alianza, and Los Chamacos. We encourage everyone to join us and help make this year's Freedom Fest the biggest one yet. Admission is absolutely free for the general public, and VIP passes are also available by calling 956-844-7808."
This Year's 2-day Freedom Fest celebration will take place at the Basilio Villarreal Municipal Park starting Friday, June 28, through Saturday, June 29. Once again the event will feature team roping competitions, a cook-off, a baseball tournament, a car show, food, games, live music and a massive fireworks display.
