The Rio Grande City Tourism Department has teamed up with the RGC PD Crime Stopper to host their 2019 Family Fun Day & Color Rain Dash events on Saturday morning, April 27, at the Fordyce Nature Trails, starting at 10:00 a.m. "We hope everyone can join us for the free event, with kites, food, games and fun for the whole family," stated Rio Grande City Tourism Director Sara Hernandez. "We had a great time last year, and we're working to make this year's event bigger and better."
Registration for the Color Rain Dash 5K Run will take place at the event, starting at 9:00 am, with a fee of $10 for participants over the age of 16. Participation is free for all children. For more information about the Color Rain Dash, residents are encouraged to call Ana Ramirez at 956-487-8892. The Rio Grande City Fordyce Nature Trails are located at 1946 W HWY 83. (Next to Starr County Courthouse Annex).
